Banda fundada en 1967 en Berlín por Edgar Froese.

De su inicial estilo de rock psicodélico, el grupo evolucionó hacia el uso de instrumentos electrónicos con su primera formación estable de trío integrada por Edgar Froese, Christopher Franke y Peter Baumann (1972-1977).
Este trío ha sido el que ha forjado el llamado sonido Berlín, basado en los sonidos secuenciados y en las melodías planeadoras.
Actualmente el grupo está formado por Edgar Froese y Jerome Froese (padre e hijo) y su música se decanta por el rock electrónico.
